Drop-in is the core element of what Close house stands for. We operate an open door policy to any young person that wants somewhere to just come and be. Close House drop-in happens 12 – 4pm, weekdays for teens and young adults and Saturdays just for teens.

The feel of Close House is that of a family home: somewhere comfortable to meet other people, to socialise and interact. For some young people it is a meeting point, for others, a place to seek help and advice or to feel part of a community. However Close House is used, there is a vital need locally for a place young people can take ownership of and be given a voice.

Close House consists of the pool room, the hub of the building; the red room, a place to chill out; and the cafe, to eat and play games. each room is manned by youth workers at all times, who are there to help with any issues or just hang out and give young people time and attention.

Each day brings something different and the staff are able to meet inspirational and captivating individuals of all ages, all with different levels of need.
